Love and Compassion for Successful Leadership - Value #2

What is the second value of being a leader who leads with love and compassion?    The second value is “being trustful.” Walter Anderson wrote that “We are never so vulnerable than when we trust someone- but if we cannot trust neither can we find love or joy.”

What does “being trustful” mean to you? “Being trustful” is encouraging those you lead with belief and support in their talents and skills.

What is the number one sign of distrust? It is not actively listening and/or interrupting someone. So..... How many of you go into a meeting with your mind already made up before those in the meeting have an opportunity to provide input and feedback?    I know that I I have.   Being trustful through active listening and not interrupting changed my mind many times, and it almost always ends up leading to a better outcome.

More to come next week regarding the “being trustful” value of acting as a loving and compassionate leader.

I would “love” the opportunity to partner with your organization in a 90 minute or half day “Love and Compassion for Successful Leaders” program. The presentation is filled with real life case studies and lots of fun and interactive discussions.

I hope you enjoy a great love and compassion leadership week!
